Ive been searching around but havent seen anything quite right. I figure you guys may be able to help. Im looking for a laptop for business use. Budget is around 1200 but it could go more if needed. The features that are most important are:
15" frame (15.4-6)
Screen res higher than 720p w/ LED screen
Backlit Keyboard (if possible while maintaining others)
At least i5 or i7 2nd gen processor
windows 7
4-8 gb ddr3 ram

Also, i would prefer if it is not like a massively thick laptop. This may be quite a few features but Im sure there is something out there. Thanks for your help!

ok...here is my suggestion, just get an apple mac book pro and install windows 7 via bootcamp...i have been using mine for over 2 years and it runs wonderfully....no issues with hardware or drives whatsoever....build quality is wonderful, yet it's a light and powerful laptop

This one looks awesome so far, although the other two are definitely viable options. Ive been a bit confused about the samsung one, some sites say preorder some say out of stock but it looks like it was supposed to start shipping october 2nd. Any idea about this?

I think that Series 7 is a good choice. I especially like the idea of that 8GB SSD cache drive (in all but the lowest model).

It's not the first time a retailer has been over optimistic about new tech arrival dates.
I'd say give them a call and ask for an update.
And it's not out of the question to give Samsung a call either.

horrible recommendation. for 1200 bucks you can get a slow mac compared to a fast pc.

dude i only had to click once to prove you wrong
http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro?afid=p219|GOUS&cid=AOS-US-KWG
1200 bucks for a core i5 and hd 3000 graphics
it takes 1800 bucks just to get a quad core i7 and that only has a 6490m for a gpu which is not a good gpu
only at 2200 dollars do you get a good gpu.
and for those prices you dont even get a 7200rpm hard drive but hey if you want to spend several hundred dollars on a white emblem then go for it, spec wise they are not any better then a windows machine and if you even mention battery life then i recommend you look up the battery sizes on a mac then compare it to a windows machine and you will find that a mac has a battery that is about twice the size.

and on top of that he wants a business class laptop.

i too would recommend that samsung. i too have a samsung laptop, not a business class one, and it has been the most durable laptop ever. its taken multiple falls to concrete and the occasional drink spill and still works like a champ.
