looking to connect Philips 5.1 surround to Panasonic

I need to connect my Philips 5.1 multimedia surround to Panasonic tv...but I only hav red & white cables provided by the company...no yellow one

Without the model numbers we can't give you a specific answer.
If your surround system doesn't have a dvd player built in then you don't need a yellow composite video cable since there is no video to send to the TV. If your TV has an headphone jack you can connect to that. If your TV has a digital audio output and the surround sound doesn't then you will need a DAC to convert the digital audio out to analog.
