looking to record gameplay on PC

Hi, im looking to record my gameplay (Skyrim) and i want to record it without losing FPS? is that even possible? i've read using fraps to record, can cut the FPS in half. What would be the best software to record my raw gameplay with the lose of FPS.

you can record gameplays using a software with out loosing your FPS !

maybe there is a way , an expensive way !
you can do it using a record card which can connected directly to the motherboard & the GPU !

however !! Fraps take 10-25% off your fps , not half of it as you heard !

You should try fraps. Download the free demo. Ideally, you would want to record to a dedicated drive. e.g. a SSD for your system and game files and a HDD for recording. Your FPS shouldn't take much of a hit. Definitely not a 50% hit.

Fraps is a steaming pile of trash! Just tried it myself as I'm looking to record gameplay footage. It doesn't tell you when it's recording so you just have to hope it is...if you've recorded a half hour video and find out it hasn't, well...
It also randomly stopped recording 20 seconds into my video for no reason at all! It's crap! And personally I'm getting sick of everyone recommending it and no other program! I'm totally lost now.
