LOUD screaming whine but perfect pictures!

I have an unbearable high pitched scream coming for my Mitsubishi model LT-46249 but the picture is 100% perfection. Clear and bright! I can push the volume button and see it going up and down on the screen but the whine doesn't change and there is NO show volume. Any one help please!!! Single mom of 3 and do NOT have the money to take it to a shop...the loudness of this screaching makes the tv 100% unusable. Thanks guys.

Sounds like a power prob. If its under warranty take it back to the shop

The audio board is a more likely candidate that the power supply since the set turns on and has a picture.
Try contacting www.shopjimmy.com. They sell replacement boards and can be helpful.
If you can connect a soundbar or powered speaker to the TV audio output it MIGHT work but you would have to disconnect the wires going to the internal TV speakers since you can't turn the whine down or off with the TV remote.

I had a similar prob with the other tv here. The whine sounded like bees at the back of the tv.

That was like a pitch whine too. I took it back to the shop, and the technician said it had a faulty power module. It was power related anyway
