Solved! Low battery

Hello,
My battery to my laptop gave me a low battery warning. I noticed that the power chord was not all the way inside the wall outlet. Can I charge the battery after plugging power chord all the way into the wall outlet, while logging ot of the total computer for the night?

Or else I am going to interpret it as

Is it safe to keep the laptop plugged into the main power over night to charge if the laptop is off?
