Solved! LTE 4G upgrade on Asus laptop

Hi people.
I recently bought the ASUS ProArt StudioBook W700G1T Core i7 16GB 1024.455GB SSD 17".

It turns it doesn't have the option for using cellular data as far as I can tell, but I did find some alternatives like installing a WWAN module.

My question is therefore, is it possible to install an LTE 4G wwan card in the second NGFF slot and how can I find one that fits and is compatible with my laptop?

By looking at the motherboard layout here https://www.notebookcheck.net/Asus-ProArt-StudioBook-Pro-17-W700G3T-Review-The-mobile-workstation-is-hampered-by-small-things.464163.0.html there does not seem to be a free slot for a data modem, the WiFi chip is soldered to the motherboard and there are no free slots aside from the M.2 drive one. Maybe on the other side of the motherboard but you would need to take it apart to check. You also will need an antenna for the device and I don't see any free hanging ones there for that either.

You can use a USB model though or get a hotspot device like a jebpack that Verizon offers.

Like the module I linked to. I've found several of these, but I don't know how to figure out if they would be compatible with this laptop. I could also buy antennas for these modules, I believe.

The product you linked does not look like it will even fit in the slot, it's too wide for the area, and from the images of the motherboard there is also no retention screw for shorter card sizes. Don't know if any m.2 card will work for you, have not tried using one of those for a cell data card.
