M15x has to be replaced with same or 1 upgrade

Hello,
My M15x Alienware laptop was stolen in house break-in. The insuarance will replace for same item (discontinued) or go one upgade. Any suggestions pls as i sense the M14x is a downgrade. Thanks

A current M14X will be more than a 2-generation upgrade, the only thing you're losing is that 1" of LCD panel size.

Thank you for getting back so quickly. Does the M14x meet the gaming capabilities of the M15x in every way other than screen size? I want the insurance company to do right by us. So far we have the option to get the $$ for M14x or choose to buy something else.
