I have a Dell Precision M6800 with a K3100M GPU.

I have NO issues when using the laptop display itself.

However, I am unable to attach an external monitor via DP/HDMI. VGA works as it's handled by Intel HD.

What I've tried:
Reinstalling Intel HD Driver
Reinstalling K3100M Driver
Installing various versions of K3100M Driver (From both Dell.com and nvidia.com)
Clean installation of windows

I looked through the BIOS and didn't see ANYTHING that looks like a setting disabling it.

At one point when I would plug in a DP cable the screen would just go black and I would have to hard boot.

I had a lot of issues with the K3100M Driver.

Am I crazy to think it's possibly a bad GPU? Any other recommendations for me to try?

Hi,

Please do try a clean install of the graphics card driver.
- Go to Device Manager and uninstall NVIDIA graphics.
- Open Program and Features then uninstall anything related to NVIDIA graphics.
- Download and install the latest driver there is.
- Here's the link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx.
- Reboot the laptop once installed.
- After the reboot connect the DP cable again then press the Windows key + P at the same time and select between Extended or Duplicate display and press Enter.

Contacted Dell, rules to be hardware issue. They are sending a replacement motherboard and GPU.
