macbook air resetting problem

Hi everyone ..i reset my friend's macbook air..but we have many mistake after resetting we understand...we didnt backup data to time machine...then after reseting laptop want a apple id to restore os from app store..but my friend cant remember his apple id ..is it solve our problem if i creat new apple id in a another macbook .??.then i type it to my friend's laptop?

If it is asking for an apple ID to restore the os, it want to check to see if your friend purchase the OS. so No, a new apple id not going to work. Contact Apple to get the original ID.
