I'm having trouble with the latest edition Matchbook Pro which I've had for around 4 months, The left fan is constantly making a grinding noise every time I turn it on and it won't stop. This is my first Mac and the noise is so unbearable that I can't use it. Anyone have any ideas because I use the Mac all the time, Thanks

Solution
Personally, I wouldn't try to fix it myself since it is still under warranty. Have you considered taking it to the Apple store or is there not one near by?

If it's still under warranty take it back, obviously.
Most Apple stores should be able to fix it relatively quickly.

Unusual for a fan to go so quickly, likely a manufacturing defect, but all fans will die eventually, and are usually pretty easy to replace.

+1 for take it to Apple Store if under warranty.
If you decide to try to fix it yourself, first check out a guide on ifixit.com to see what is involved. Make sure to pick the correct guide for your model.

If we tell you this is normal will you say OK?

Dude, talk to Apple, they are a lot better than your PC shop geeks. You bought a Lexus, expect good service.
