Hi guys, I hope you are all in good health. I need your guidance. I have a MacBook Pro 13 (Early 2015) that has a charging issue. Sometimes it charges, but the charging port becomes extremely hot. Other times, I have to move the port at different angles, like upward and downward, and luckily, it starts charging. Most of the time, it shows a green light on the charging port, but on the MacBook, it either shows "Not Charging" or sometimes shows "Power Source: Power Adapter, Battery is not charging.

So, I read multiple threads across different platforms, and the suggested solution was first to replace the MagSafe DC-In Board.

I ordered the DC-In Board from AliExpress and installed it. Now, the situation is almost the same—it shows a green light but isn't charging, or it directly powers the MacBook without charging. If it does start charging, the port becomes extremely hot.

The solution that comes to mind now is that it may be related to the charging cable or perhaps the entire charger is faulty, but I need your expertise. Please advise me on what to do. I'm also attaching pictures of the port's condition.

Since the port is still getting extremely hot and charging inconsistently, I’d suspect the charger or cable might be the real issue. Have you tried using a different genuine MagSafe charger? A faulty or third-party charger can cause overheating and charging problems. Also, check if your battery is swelling or damaged—it could be struggling to hold a charge. Let me know what you’ve tested so far!
