I question the legality of a marriage of this manner. If one could marry an inanimate object, and was unable to find a human mate, one would do so. The tax incentives for marriage are staggering, and if people were allowed to marry just about anything, then they're cheating the system.

This to me seems more like clever marketing for a DS game.

You know, when I first heard about this, I had a similar reaction as many of you here. I felt sorry for the guy that he couldn't make a real human connection.
