Mark II problem

When I put the memory card in my Mark II the camera stops to work. Anyone suffer with the same problem? How can I fix it?

I'm not sure this will fix it but it may be worth trying:
Remove the battery
Remove the SD card
Set aside for a few minutes and then reinsert the battery and SD card
