MCS-737 cant connect to pc

As the title says, i recently got a mcs-737 home theater and i have tried to connect it to my pc through hdmi.

My problem is i get no sound at all.
when i try to connect, it seems to register the receiver as a 2nd screen.
but i get no sound whether i use 1 screen or the other as main, and no matter what menu's i open on the remote i get nothing on my pc.

is it posible that i can only get audio through a spdif optical cable?
im completely new at audio setups so sorry if its a stupid question.

Your motherboard audio chipset should have a software control panel that from there you can select the hdmi as your output device.

Your analog ports are always default as your output unless manually changed.

Hi, where would you normally find the control panel you mention?
