MD Integration into Backpack

I've seen custom made jackets that have a mini disk player somewhere in the jacket and then buttons on the jacket. I am wondering if you can be done doing it yourself. I have a MD player and I want to integrate it into my Jansport backpack. I assume you just have to crosscut the md wire and buy some buttons and attach it to the corresponding wires? But does anyone know where you can buy these parts?

I don't know where you can buy this stuff but they showed sth. about integrating audio-players into clothes on TechTV couple weeks ago.
May be you can find sth. on their website.
