Memory card saved contacts from previous phone but won't transfer them to new phone.

In my new phone there was a memory card so I tried to copy all my contacts from my old phone to my new one but when I try to transfer the card memory to my phone's it was there's nothing to transfer. It says there's data on it but nothing comes up to be transferred.
