Use CPU-z to find out what RAM is installed.

Does your laptop only have 2 RAM slots?

Do you already have 2 sticks of 2GB RAM installed?
To get to 6GB you'd have to remove a 2GB stick and install 1 4GB stick.

Does your laptop support 4GB RAM sticks?
