Solved! Mic on headset not working but detected

I recently bought a new headset (Turtle Beach recon 150) and I am using it for my PC I plugged it in put on listen to the mic thing on windows and heard nothing. It didnt pick up anything. How would I fix this? I have Windows 10 and have not found anything that works. (I bought this new headset because the mic on my old one had stopped working but that headset is old and has had problems with the cables so I thought it was logical that it was broken but not the new one)

Look at the mic settings under windows and increase the sensitivity first.

Also is the new headset USB?

Were there drivers to install?

It's 3.5mm and no it doesn't say there are any drivers to install.

So you need to go into the windows settings and play around with the mic sensitivity. Hopefully it is not the mic socket on the back of the PC.

I fixed it the mic is removable and I didnt push it in long enough. It works now!
