Microphone catching computer sounds while having headset on

I am trying to communicate with my friends through Curse Voice and the problem is that whenever I want to talk, they hear both my voice and every sound coming from my macbook (youtube, spotify etc..). Not only that but they hear echo of themselves too. Everything is happening while my headset is plugged in the macbook.

Is it possible to somehow split the computer sounds and my voice?

some soundcards allow you to choose what to use as microphone.
Either the microphone itself or "what you hear" which would include everything on the computer.

You could check what options curse gives you as far as microphone settings go.

Yeah I tried that but unfortunately nothing changed . There are options for default and built-in microphone, but it seems like the microphone is catching sounds by default.

only other reason I can think of right now is that the microphone volume could be bit too high.
What this does is that it "hears" also everything coming to your headphones.

That reason is unlikely but I cannot think of other solutions at the moment.
