I'm using "Nightly" from Firefox and it scores 312/450 "and 9 bonus points", so I guess that's 321/450, unless it was already included in the 312/450 score. Still, better than IE10 PP2, which according to this article is 237/450.

Safari 5 has been out since well before IE9 and managed to score a 286+9. Internet Exploder sucks.

"The test also awards bonus points for supporting audio and video codecs and supporting SVG or MathML embedding in a plain HTML document. These test do not count towards the total score because HTML5 does not specify any required audio or video codec." ~html5test.com.

Bonus points are not factored into the total score.

"According to HTML5test.com, IE10 PP2 now scores 237/450, up from 146/450 of IE9. Chrome 14 currently is at 342/450 and Firefox 5 at 295/450."
...
"Once again, IE10 shines and its rivals are left behind."

Those two statements don't add up... to me it looks like IE10 is a distant 3rd...

@TwoDigital

The statement about IE10 shining and leaving its rival behind is made according to Microsoft's Benchmarks.

The HTML5test.com scores are completely different and aren't even indicative of performance, just what features the browser supports.

I wonder if you read the article. First, the scores paragraph talks about current versions of the browsers: IE9, not IE10PP2, FF5 & Chrome 12. Second, it says:
"To be fair, we know that HTML5 benchmarks can be, just like JavaScript benchmarks, slanted into different directions and to take advantage of certain browser characteristics. However, there is no denying that the performance of IE10 in those new benchmarks is impressive and there is at least the impression that HTML5 applications could look and feel like regular desktop applications at some point."
Do you understand?

If IE10 is faster then IE9 I will be really happy. IE9 is really fast imho, so if IE10 gets even faster that would really rock :)
