Minecraft lag on good computer

Hi there, so I have been up to the point where I'm going to give up on Minecraft at this point. i just got a brand new computer from staples and have updated all of my drivers. I can barely get 20 FPS. specs down below... whats weird though is that it only uses 128 MB of that 1gb? can someone help me thanks

Get a gaming laptop or pc.

i realize that it isn't a gaming laptop but it can play almost everything without any lag and it pisses me off! but thanks for trying to help i know that it can run Minecraft it just isn't working right

You honestly already got your answer. It isn't a gaming laptop, it is a simple laptop meant to do "laptop" things like search the internet, watch videos, and type up your papers. What do you mean it can "Run everything else"? Minecraft is not a very intensive game and the fact that your laptop is struggling (and from looking at its specs I can see why) means that you cannot run any game much more hardware reliant than minecraft at all.

well i can play rocket league and any of those games nice and smooth but Minecraft struggles to cooperate rocket league settings are all at max and i get 60+ frames so IDK if Minecraft is the issue or if I'm missing something because i know that this machine can play Minecraft
