Saved MKV files to San Disk only sound will play no video.

I got itches every time someone says "Install this Mega Super Duper ACME Codec pack", and you will be OK... On a Windows PC, all one needs is VLC - and it plays everything.
But I suspect OP question is more about "plugged that San Disk into my TV, and got sound only", so we need more info.
