Hi there guys,

So I'll be going off to college this fall and I'm in the market for a laptop. I game a lot but I do plan to definitely cut back on it in college. Now I'm looking for a pretty light laptop, 6 pounds or less, since I'll be doing a lot of walking. A laptop with 3+ hours of battery life, and at least a gtx765. I've been doing some research and I've come up with a few options.

The Razer blade 14 inch

The MSI GS 70

Gigabyte P35K

Macbook Pro
(Now I know you really don't game on macs and they haven't announced the Haswell yet)

SO, I was wondering if I could get advice on which I should choose, and if anyone could give me another recommendation great I'm all ears.

Hey,

I would suggest this laptop: http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y500/#customize
For $839 you get: Processor
3rd Generation Intel Core i7-3630QM Processor( 2.40GHz 1600MHz 6MB)
-
Operating System
Windows 8 64
-
Display
15.6" FHD LED Glossy Wedge 1920x1080
-
Graphics
NVIDIA GeForce GT750M GDDR5 2GB
-
Memory
8.0GB PC3-12800 DDR3 SDRAM 1600 MHz
-
Hard Drive
1TB 5400 RPM

Not a bad deal. Yes, I realize that it has a GT 750, and not the GTX 765 you would like, but there will not be that much of a difference. It should last you a while. Also, at this link: http://videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html , It shows that the GT 750 performs BETTER than the GTX 765M. I am sure this is probably due to bad testing, but...

I wish the resolution on the Razer Blade was a bit better, but for gaming its probably right where it needs to be. Your list looks good tbh, there isnt much more out there, maybe the Asus UX51VZ if they update it
