Monitor won't display after using VGA

My HP 2000 laptop screen is cracked I recently got a HP monitor L1950 and connected with VGA and it worked fine now when I
Turn in my Minitor says no input signal and goes into sleep mode.
I tried the monitor with another laptop and it works fine, how can I get the monitor to work with my laptop Again? FYI I am not able to see anything on my screen that's cracked

Do you know for sure your HP 2000 laptop has booted? Try to press Windows+P many times and see if you get any signal.
