Monitor won't display

My Acer Aspire laptop won't display anything but the power button turns on and it's charging. What would i do ? Can anyone assist me?

Still, kind of a vague question to ask. Have you done anything with your computer? Can you get into the BIOS?

If you have an external screen attach it. If the external screen works it's not the graphics card and could be a cable. I had the same issue with an Acer and it worked on the external and the problem turned out to be a LCD cable was bad.

Can't do anything; the monitor goes to sleep as soon as I connect it to the tower.

Have you tried using the monitor on a different machine? Even a laptop?
