Motherboard problem on Aspire 8930-6442

Hi,

I have bought an Acer Aspire (8930-6442) laptop form US in last summer.Since last December the laptop has stopped working.I tried to get it repaired at Acer Service Centres in India (Delhi as well as Bangalore) but they said the problem cannot be solved.I also tried getting it repaired in Nehru Place in New Delhi but in vain.The problem lies with the motherboard and its difficult to source a replacement motherboard for the same in India.Kindly enlighten about what my options are to get it repaired since i had invested quite a lot of money to buy it.

If you are still under the one year warranty limit, you can try contacting acer here in the US and see what they have to say about maybe sending it in to them and having it replaced.

I had actually thought about that but since i had replaced the hard drive (which was faulty on arrival) and laptop opened here for repair somebody from US told me the Acer US Service Centre would not honour the Warranty.They would charge for it.For sending the laptop to US takes around 110$ and repairs might take around 250$.It will be an expensive proposition to send it there.Any other solution possible?
