i am trying to mount a tv for my mother, but i'm not 100% sure about the mounting hardware. if a mount says its for tvs smaller than 42 inch, but the vesa sizes match and the tv is within the weight limit would a 43 inch be ok?

Solution
If it states 42", that really means "Don't use this to mount a 70 inch. If you do, and it breaks, don't blame us."
It's not the TV inch, but rather the weight.

A 43" is fine. As long as you abide by all the mounting instructions.
