Movie playback on my Galaxy Tab

I have a Galaxy Tab 10.1, and while it has been fun to be able to surf the internet and play small games with it, I want to do more with it. I got the 32GB version so I could potentially hold a few movies on it, but I haven't looked up how to do it yet.

So, what I would like to know is if anyone has advice for how to do 3 things:
1. convert DVDs to a file format I can play on my Galaxy Tab
2. access a network share on my Windows server (Server 2008 R2, for Hyper-V training purposes)
3. play movies from either local storage or from the network share

Well, no responses, but I found AnyDVD for Android, and that works pretty well. Although I can't figure out how to access from the network share, local storage it OK for movie playback.
