Moving contact list from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2010

Hi guys just want to know how do i move the contact list(the one when i type in the first few letters of the email address and it picks up the complete address) from outlook 2007 to 2010.

unfortunately, what you refer to is not in actual fact your address list, it is more like a history (like IE or other browsers) and there is no way to move that across. if you go into your outlook and look at your contacts section, you can export those and import them into your new installation fairly simply, but the historical recipients information cannot be retained.

I have done it before, i just dont remember how i did it though

if that is the case, then maybe try File>import/export>export to a file>csv (windows)>contacts

(i have moved loads of PST files including the contacts but it never seems to keep the historical memory as described, if you do figure it out, please let me know!!!)

Just managed to find the answer, the file is called an "NK2" file in Outlook 2007,its found in the following path: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook.
