Mozilla Can't Attract Enough Firefox Testers

Isn't Firefox the flavor of the month to get picked on? Okay, I'll start. IT'S FUCKING BLOATED!

[citation][nom]otacon72[/nom]Got tired of FF crashing 4-5 times a session. Went back to IE9 and will never go back.[/citation]

IE?? really?

one word: chrome

Have you even tried IE9? Do you know how well it performs? I suggest you go give it a try before shunning it away like that.

fire fox needs to do 2 things, it needs to make it so i can install it, and have it work seperatly form ff3 and 4 needs to run standalone, with no interaction from each other, and if i want to, i will port in things like extensions and bookmarks.

this way current installs aren't facked if something doesn't work, and beta testing doesn't screw up what we currently have.

IE9, Firefox and Chrome all have their glitches... Like I can't post to forums in IE9....I can't print from Chrome... Firefox lacks a degree of simplicity that most users actually like...

Firefox needs to get lost and leave way for Chrome OS. Not to mention Safari is the future. If Firefox doesn't do anything about their buggy apps I will get a mac!!

How is it that i can post on these forums with IE9 and you cant? Its really strange, that looks like the one thing that people complain about, even though I havent ran into significant problams with it.

The only issue I had so far was that it didnt post on the first hit, but once I clicked over compatability mode, it post just fine. In fact all the forum sights i visit are like this. If it dosent post, click compatability and it works.

I would like to know what sights you go to where it dosent work, because honestly its driving me nuts hearing about this complaint, but not finding it.

Its eather that or people who are complaining didnt bother looking up what that broken page butten is used for, the one between the page refresh and the search butten.

I do agree with you, all of the web browsers out do have there bugs. I can live with the IE9 bugs more then the others, and is better for mobile battery life. Because of the battery thing I use it as my primary browser across the board, although i do use firefox when im pluged in for nistalgia sake from time to time.

Why does every article on web browsers get reduced to a flame-war between fanboys? I mean, if you don't have something useful to say, then don't post.

the few times ive tried FF4 it just locks up and i end up closing it through task manager, i used to think of it as an alternative to chrome or IE, now it is has become another IE 8 for me.

I keep hearing about people complaining about stability problems with FF4 but I've never had a problem with it at all. Been rock solid since Beta 3. The only problem I've had with it so far is Abobe flash crashing it.

if you are using something wrong. Or have unstable system it doesnt mean that your browser is wrong.

Never had ANY problems with FF4, not even Flash crash. It's really weird how everyone is suddenly pissed off at Mozilla for FF4... it's no different from 3.6, actually, is even faster. Chrome's good, but the simplistic interface that "most users actually like" looks like a child's toy to me. Instead of educating the users, big companies choose to dumb everything down so that later they can supply any kind of crap they want to the end-users and no one would bother. And to the guy who said Safari is the future - ROFLMAO!

Personally I use Firefox, simply because Firefox represents what is free, good and open source (cross-platform too). Sure, Firefox 4 isn't quite stable, but it will get there. I've been using Firefox since the very first version, back when it was hip and cool like Chrome. Firefox to me is familar enough, with few major downsides forcing me to switch and learn a new browser.

That's right. I'm lazy. :)

Firefox 4 rocks, the nightly builds are blazing fast and stable.

The next builds will rock the web.

I really don't know where all the FF4 crashes issues are stemming from. Personally I keep multiple tabs open all the time and haven't had a crash yet. On top of that if/when Flash crashes the plugin in container handles it cleanly and the whole browser doesn't die. It uses less memory than Chrome when multiple tabs are open which is yet another plus.

If you are having crashes I'd recommend the following...
1. Clean install of FF4
2. Ditch your old addons

Ive yet to find a single browser that does not rash from time to time, Personally I use Opera first and IE9 second, gives me 100% uptime between the two, cant be bothered to use the others unless for webdesign to ensure compatibility!

Poor people, i'm using FF browser at least 5 hours a day and never had a crash. Now i will tell you my story with your hyped Chrome.
One big reason to uninstall Chrome from my system is that it doesn't support Activex and NO i won't type stupid commands to activate it. Not to mention the dumbest thing ever - you can't even change your temporary files directory, this is RIDICULOUS!!! Chrome are you serious??
So i typed the stupid command to change it and when i click on my Gmail gadget it actually opens the default chrome.exe with the default temp files directory and that pissed me off so much. The list is big and i can continue till tomorrow. I won't talk about speed, cause this is more ridiculous than you people, talking about speed difference that you CAN'T even sense, so what speed do you talking about??? Do you really can tell/feel/sense the difference in real world performance??? You are just people who like to bitch about everything like little babies, so go change your diapers first and than come here to talk about fictional speed differences, crashes ecc. I'm tired of stupid people.

I don't mind using beta releases (alpha's are another thing entirely), but I want to read a changelog first.

FF's beta releases are aimed at techies and techies don't like blindly leaping into things.
