Ms16 Behringer humming noise problem

Hello, I have a hum problem with my speakers (ms16 behringer). Speakers start to produce that humming noise right after they get plugged into electricity network and turned on. It does not matter if they are connected to a source of input (PC, player or whatever). Playing with bass/treble/volume also does not affect that hum. I've tried turning them on in different rooms, but effect was the same.

Any ideas where to start? Any additional info needed?

Probably from the built-in power supply in the right speaker, the only serious thing you can try to test and see if it's resolvable is an actual active power line conditioner.

Behringer won't admit to a problem, but they are known for this if you google around just a little.

To paraphrase Danny Vermin, from the movie Johnny Dangerously, "I bought a Behringer amp once... Just once!"

It failed, after a couple of years of light use. It only left the house a few times, for rehearsal, but mostly stayed in the bedroom. Most of the time, it was just connected to a Korg R3, Kronos or an Ensoniq ESQ1. It turns out that the model we have can't really be fixed, as it has an integrated mainboard, and fixing it would be just as expensive as buying a new unit.

I would search Google and contact Behringer Support to see if they can offer any advice.

Are you sure its because of the power supply in the right speaker? Because this noise is equal in both speakers. Left one just catches it?

both speakers are affected by something common like a power supply, it's actual location isn't the point.

I've seen failing or sub-standard surge suppressors and power supplies cause humming in equipment. Is your equipment plugged into street power, a surge suppresor or a battery backup?
