Cannot find the CMOS battery on this motherboard?? Any help/guidance greatly appreciated

If it's a laptop it may not have one, and disconnecting DC power cable and battery then pressing down power button for 15 seconds may clear CMOS.

Thanks for the reply, I will certainly try it. My only question is how can holding down the power button WITHOUT either battery or power supply input have any effect ????

why do you need to find the bios battery?

it may be a small round plastic wrapped packet with 2 wires coming out of it.
also it might have a small capacitor instead of a battery, if you need to clear cmos it should work if you remove the battery and power brick then hold the power button for 10-20 seconds.

Thanks again guys. How this started was that I had to replace the laptop battery pack as it was no longer charging. After putting the new battery pack in and pushing the power button, the blue light comes on for 5 seconds and then the entire machine shuts down without starting any boot sequence ?????
