Just ordered a msi ge72 gtx 970m and it's expected to arrive by December 15th. First gaming laptop. So before I get it I want to know the best configuration I can have for mostly gaming. Skyrim, Fallout, Just Cause, Madden, Guild Wars 2 and some other blockbusters. Mostly solo play. In reviews I saw people talking about adding and making configurations for the bootup time and to adjust the fps so it still runs as smooth as possible but doesn't overheat or cause the fans and cooling to work too much.
This would also be my main concern, making sure I can play a few hours without worry about serious overheating or damage. I'll be getting a cooling pad. But any suggestions about what else I should research or the settings I should look into when I receive my rig will be appreciated.
