How can i clone the M.2 128GB SSD that came with the MSI GS43VR 7RE laptop to a Samsung 970 SSD 1TB because they not like the 2.5" SSD which is easier. I watched some YouTube videos but they upgrading from HDD to 2.5" SSD or 2.5" SSD to a bigger storage. Do i need a special cable for M.2 SSD?

You'll need some external drive, to copy an Image to. And a blank USB stick.

Specific steps:
Assuming you have another drive with sufficient free space to hold the entirety of your current m.2 drive:

1. Download and install Macrium Reflect
2. Run that, and create a Rescue CD or USB. "Other Tasks"
3. Create a Rescue USB or CD (you'll use this later)
4. In the Macrium client, create an Image. Select all partitions. This results in a file of xxxx.mrimage
5. When done, power OFF.
6. Swap the 2 drives
7. Boot up from the Rescue USB you created earlier.
8. Recover, and tell it where the Image is that you created in step 4, and which drive to apply it to...the new m.2
9. Go, and wait until it finishes.
10. That's all...this should work.
