I bought the ghost because of how thin and light the thing is. Battery life is definitely not the best. It runs so many things so beautifully. I had mine for 6 weeks before it was RMA'ed (steelseries keyboard wasn't working), and it found it got too hot to have on my legs after a few minutes of gaming. Now that I have it back from the RMA, MSI must've done something to it because mine doesn't even get hot ever. Played 2 hours of sims 2(not intense) couldn't even tell the thing was on. Played Call of duty, couldn't even tell the gpu was on. I mean it is obviously super expensive but I believe it was worth every penny. I see people at my univeristy with the lenovo y510p, or the y50 and they look MASSIVE, maybe because mine is so thin. But definitely love mine.
How about battery life?
I have 5 straight hours of class on Tuesdays. So this past Tuesday, I charged it up and brought it along. I wasn't using it the whole time, maybe I'd have it on for 15 minutes then 3 minutes off or something like that. Just internet browsing, some word, google hangouts and other not intensive things. It had just about 30% when I was done with the day. I was shocked. Gaming on the battery apparently is no good, and I got maybe an hour out of it before it was done. But web browsing and stuff, absolutely fine. I did bring my charger though, but only for an emergency.
