Hi all,

I have a MSI GT70 laptop. It was purchased in the summer of 2011, so the 2 year warranty is up. I had it serviced under warranty last year and the motherboard, power adapter and battery was replaced.

The problem is that I cannot keep my laptop charged.

I know the battery is good & I have tried 3 adapters all with the same results:

1) When plugged in, the laptop will randomly shut off when surfing or gaming (but usually ok if idling). If the laptop is unplugged, it will not shut off until the battery is depleted.

2) The laptop does not charge when plugged in, unless I am very lucky and apply pressure on the connector in some certain way, I may be able to slowly walk away from the laptop and let the charge complete, at which point i must unplug the adapter to continue using the laptop.

Since this is out of warranty, should I just bring it to a local repair shop? Any insights?

Thanks in advance!
