I need help in choosing which gaming laptop should I buy, I have 2 options:

MSI GS63VR STEALTH PRO-078 https://www.excaliberpc.com/663119/msi-gs63vr-stealth-pro-078-15.6.html#
or
ASUS ROG STRIX GL503VS-DH74 (SCAR Edition) https://www.excaliberpc.com/664881/asus-rog-strix-gl503vs-dh74-scar.html#

I'm really confused above the real life performance and usability of the two products because I'm looking for a laptop for gaming but also for my life as a student.

would take the asus one, using the normal 1070, not max-q like on msi one. in my opinion the design of the asus looks better, then the storage, asus also win with the faster nvme ssd with sshd. for sure just remember that gaming laptop were focused on performance, so the portability were sacrificed sometimes, like the weight of laptop, then the power brick that is ridiculously big and heavy, the battery life(what would you expect from gaming laptop with the battery? lol)

Thank you for your answer.
The truth is that I'm confused about the storage part of the answer, because I've been looking into it, and sure the asus is faster, but I don't know if that will affect a lot in gaming performance or a slower storage can do great (or good enough) to be an option. In terms of how thin or light the laptop is, I don't really care, and I'm used to carry a power brick anyways. I know that this is a gaming focused product, not the thinnest laptop ever, and the same goes to the battery, if this thing can be functioning for a couple of hours, then I'm fine, I have already accepted that.

Faster storage drive doesn't affect things like fps, it will probably only affect loading time. Fast nvme ssd could affect in faster boot up time, compared to sata ssd there would probably only second different, but it all will depends

Oh also note the response time of the screen on asus is slightly higher, which can some ghosting, however the refresh rate is higher, but not all people will notice the ghosting. I usually hook up laptop to external monitor, so that thing not a big deal for me, but i dont know about how you use your laptop

I don't use an external monitor, even though is a good idea I would prefer to use it with an external graphic card, but with the G-Sync in the asus I think I'll be more than fine.
Thank you for your help.
