MSI is overal considered a better brand than lenovo in build quality. the only real differences is the vram of the video cards. the lenovo has double the vram which will have some performance improvement with texture heavy games. but even that difference isnt that large. the CPU's are quite similar, almost identical specs. i would choose MSI purely for the superiour brand, but if you dont really care about that, lenovo has the best specs judging from what you gave.

but if you could give a link to the exact laptop model i could possibly also comment on the build quality better and give my personal opinion on which is superior.

yes i do agree, lenovo is known for picking cheapest parts at moment of production which often leads to lower build quality. and msi is overal very good build quallity, high quality parts and well designed. this will help with airflow etc and thus leading to an performance increase and more durable system.

on another note if you want to play for example modded fallout 4 or skyrim i would recommend more vram than 2gb, otherwise you might sometimes need to turn down texture quality a little bit on really high end games such as crysis and bioshock infinite.
