Msi u130 please help

My Msi u130 screen won't turn on but I can hear the fan working. I've changed the screen and bought a new battery. Help me I'm Pulling my hair out.

what do you mean by you changed the screen as in replaced the old screen with a new screen or what? have you tried using an external monitor even borrowed to see if anything shows up on it?

Yes, I replaced the old screen with a new one. I haven't tried it on another monitor yet, I've just placed and order for the vca cable.

How did you know the old screen was bad?

A friend of mine said they tested it on another monitor, but I didn't witness it myself. But now it appears the screen itself has nothing to do with the problem.

I should probably highlight now that I am no computer expert so I am just trying to salvage a computer I love dearly before I cast it to the garbage heap.
