Multiple applications for work and entertainment with smart tv

With people buying the latest Android mobile phones and the Tabs providing you with multiple applications for work and entertainment, what sense does it make on the companies part to bring Smart TV’s into production?

If you are speaking about companies that manufacture phones begin manufacturing Televisions, they do. Samsung, LG, Sony, etc. Unitl a large enough footprint of android based televisions are on the market, I don't see a lot of that happening. Any OS based television presents its own unique challenges. (How many times have you seen a television set crash, vs. your smart phone or tab). We are still a few years until that sort of integration happens.

You can use Android phone or Tab only for yourself. A Smart TV allows the whole family to enjoy social applications in High Definition. Moreover, I am sure that the smile on your loved one’s faces while enjoying the 3D experience at home will make the proposition of a Smart 3D TV worthwhile.
