music skipping on my hard drive

I've noticed all all the music on my computer is sounding like a skipped cd. First it was only a few songs on my media player but now its the songs on frost wire and all the music on my itunes. Not only that every song keeps duplicating. I go through all my music and delete all the duplicate but they just end up right back on there. Why is this happening and how can I fix it??

Skipping audio is a sign of bad RAM memory, memory plugged into wrong slots, or a bad motherboard.
