Most Sony TVs have a "hybrid" analog audio/headphone output on them. That can connect to any receiver.
If the TV only has optical digital audio out and the receiver has coax digital in then you need an optical to coax digital audio converter.
If the receiver has only analog inputs then you need an optical to analog converter.
Check the TV manual on how to set up the audio output you use. It may not be on by default.
