My Acer has crazy virus its operating at like 25%... how do I fix or f-disk???

I downloaded a movie yesterday from utorrent... now my older laptop is crawling. I can barely get the task manager to open!! I'm not experienced with this. It's an Acer Aspire 5050 from like 2007.?

Did you run a virus and spyware scan? That would be the first step.
If you want to wipe it and re-install Windows, it may have a recovery partition in it or use the restore disks that it should have come with when purchased. Acer may also be able to send you a disk set or you can try to find an OEM Windows version of the one the system is licensed for and install using that.
