Having looked over the layout I can't think what would be making that noise.
If you disable all sounds in Windows - are you still getting that sound?
That would suggest it's coming from the speakers and it's not mechanical issue with the laptop.
That would be wonderful if it came with a manual. no dasy you download them. Lots of ink and paper. Anything else. I checked all audio updates and the were done successful...
Besides the hard disk, the only other thing I can thing of that might make a "horrible sound" (not quite sure what that means) might be the cooling fan.

jst after i log in to unlock computer, 60 %of the time it sounds like a skipped recordmorsomething shorting out and then stops.

It sounds like it is coming from the top right side of the keyboard. mayb underneath?
