my Acer travel mate 5742 cannot bootup

I restarted my Acer travel mate 5742, but it couldn't bootup, it says startup repair cannot repair this computer automatic

Could be a failed hard drive, very often if a system won't boot and will not finish a repair, it's a bad drive. You can try booting off Windows media and then running a repair setup that way. If that won't work, replace the drive and do a clean Windows setup on that.
