my alcatel one touch is saying that i have insufficient storage and it says i have lots of downloads taking up room but i don'

It's unikely to have made a mistake - are you sure your Downloads folder is either empty or only has a small amount of files? Go to Apps>My Files or File Manager then AllFiles>Device Storage>Download and check. Your version of Android may differ from mine so the path may be slightly different. You could also check the Apps one by one to check the size of the Caché. Decide which ones you could cut down.
