My android box won't recognise any Wi-Fi networks and won't connect via Ethernet

Since buying my android q5 box it has never been able to recognise any Wi-Fi networks, therefore we have just used the Ethernet port. 2 weeks ago the box suddenly stopped recognising the Ethernet cable and now won't connect. I have reset the box numerous times, tried numerous cables and still nothing!! The Ethernet port is flashing, showing its been recognised but the box just won't connect.

Have you tried upgrading the firmware? If I am correct, HiMedia manufactures the TV box you're talking about, and you can download the newest firmware from here: http/www.himediatech.com/support.htm

If that doesn't work, let me know.
