my cat locked my laptop last night. i cant log on to my profile with my password. i do not have a second profile on said lapto

Its pretty much all in the question. I'm locked out. Its telling me my account can't be acceded. I know my password by heart, its the one I've used for years. What do I do??? I dont want to reset to factory settings!!

Sorry but Forum rules deny threads about cracking/bypassing passwords. This is because there is no way to know if someone is trying to unlock a stolen device. I'm sorry we can't of assistance 🙁

Check your caps lock and num lock keys and try again. No way the cat could have changed the password.

I must admit that your story is better than most although I don't know why anybody would leave a laptop open AND running all night.
