my child powered off my laptop while it was performing updates

my child hit the power button on my laptop while it was performing updates. now when i power it on all i see is a box that says windows was shut down during an update....
i know how o restore, and how to reach the bios menu etc... but can i fix this problem via one of those options? if not, how do i fix it?

Try to do a system restore and revert back to the date before you started installing those updates and there is a chance it will work.
