my compaq laptop used to play games like terraria and minecraft, but can't even start up games like starbound and dont starve.

so i've had this laptop for years and used to get games online (such as minecraft, terraria, the binding of isaac, etc.), but ever since someone did something to "make the laptop run faster", i can't even download certain things, and most of the low-requirement games i have wont even start. does anyone know what i can do??
my specs are currently:
~ Compaq Presario CQ57
~Windows vista
~Processor: Intel Celeron CPU B800 1.50GHz
~1894MB RAM
~32-bit OS

if you can manage to get minecraft installed MAYBE it will work your supposed to have 2gb ram but it may work and if it did your cpu is really weak meaning then you are not able to run minecraft at more than 10 fps minimum settings
as for terraria im not 100% sure but my guess is yes if it launches because the cpu speed needs to be 1.6ghz or higher

but the make your laptop faster thing sounds like you installed windows 7 on a system thats too slow or the more likely cause it that the person put i virus on your system
